happy new year!

though i typically hate most holidays (except Thanksgiving), i have grown to appreciate what New Years represents.  to many, its a day to reflect on the past year and think about the upcoming new year.  its a time to wipe the slate clean, regardless of how good or bad the year has been.  in my case, the second half of 2012 was definitely not a highlight in my life (though not as bad as Fall/Winter of 2009/2010).  however, i know 2013 will be filled with great opportunities and i’m excited.  and to share many of these experiences with you here on this blog.

i wish you (the reader) and your families a happy new year filled with joy and prosperity!
